ACI Asia-Pacific announces Green Airport Recognition 2022

ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the results of the Green Airports Recognition 2022, recognising 12 airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East for their outstanding achievements in carbon management. Participating airports (adjudicated according to the size of the airport) all demonstrated exceptional best practices in their respective decarbonisation journeys, specifically in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emission reductions. “Congratulations to all recognised airports for demonstrating their leadership and commitment to decarbonisation,” said Stefano Baronci, director general of ACI Asia-Pacific. “We particularly appreciate the innovative processes shared by all participants this year, which can serve as best practices and leading examples to other airports in the region and beyond. This is particularly timely considering our industry’s commitment to attain net zero carbon emission by 2050.” ACI Asia-Pacific’s Green Airports Recognition programme was established in 2017 to accentuate the importance in best practices sharing among airports along their sustainable journeys.
