Vietjet boosts domestic summer capacity by 30%: As summer travel demand accelerates across Asia, Vietjet has increased its domestic flight capacity by 30% on key routes connecting Vietnam’s largest cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with popular leisure destinations including Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hue, Quy Nhon, and Quang Binh, as well as major regional centers across the country. The airline has also increased frequencies on selected international routes, including Ho Chi Minh City–Kuala Lumpur, which will operate twice daily from July 3, 2026. With these additions, Vietjet is operating more than 500 flights daily across its network, offering over 8.8 million seats to meet growing travel demand during the peak summer season. The expanded schedule comes as travelers increasingly seek regional leisure experiences, cultural festivals, music events, and major sporting occasions taking place across Asia and beyond throughout the summer months. EHang tapped for Hong Kong “Sandbox X” trial: EHang announced that it has been selected, together with its partners Kwoon Chung Smart Mobility and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company, as one of the first batch of trial projects under Hong Kong’s “Low-Altitude Economy (“LAE”) Regulatory Sandbox X” initiative for unconventional aircraft applications. All parties will leverage their respective resource advantages to steadily advance compliant demonstration flights, scenario validation and a series of coordinated efforts, contributing to the high‑quality growth of Hong Kong’s low‑altitude economy. As Hong Kong actively rolls out multiple rounds of regulatory sandbox trial projects, the low-altitude economy is quickly becoming a key driver for local innovation. As a global leader in AAM, EHang has established a solid foundation of collaboration with its Hong Kong partners, continuously advancing the application of pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in the region. Vallair attains new A330neo maintenance approval: Vallair, a leading aviation asset lifecycle support organisation and provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, has received regulatory approval to perform base maintenance on the Airbus A330neo at its state-of-the-art facility in Châteauroux, France. The approval marks a significant milestone in the Company’s continued expansion of widebody maintenance capabilities and positions Vallair to support a growing global fleet of next-generation A330neo aircraft. With airlines increasingly adopting the A330neo for its fuel efficiency, range and operational flexibility, demand for qualified maintenance providers continues to rise. The new approval enables Vallair to meet the growing demand for scheduled heavy maintenance checks, structural inspections, modifications and related technical services for both the A330-800 and A330-900 variants. The 8,500m² facility in Châteauroux is dedicated to the support of Airbus aircraft, and is able to accommodate five A321 size aircraft, or a combination of A330s and A321s. It offers a full suite of maintenance services including NDT, lease transitions, LOPA change and cabin refurbishment, which are offered alongside its existing aerostructure services, engine repair and teardown, logistics, parking and storage. Jet Aviation moving to new digs at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport: Jet Aviation announced that it has signed a 30-year lease with SR Aviation Infrastructure (“SRAI”) and Business Aviation Group, LLC (“BA Group”), to operate an FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. The FBO is part of a newly developed aviation campus at the airport and is scheduled to launch operations in 2028. The state-of-the-art, 15-acre facility will feature a 7,500 square-foot FBO, with 70,000 square feet of hangar space and over 200,000 square feet of ramp. Situated on the south side of the airfield, it offers efficient access to downtown Denver as well as Rocky Mountain destinations such as Aspen and Vail. “We are committed to growing our network in ways that support our customers’ evolving needs and enable them to operate their aircraft effortlessly,” says Jeremie Caillet, president. “Our FBOs across the world have been carefully curated to offer seamless service in the destinations we know our customers are traveling to, or have aircraft based in. Bringing the Jet Aviation experience to Colorado is the latest step in this global offering, as we continue to look for opportunities to support our customers where and when they need us.” Breaking ground on the FBO is expected in early 2027, with operations scheduled to launch in 2028. AURA AERO acquires assets from VOLTAERO: AURA AERO, French aerospace manufacturer dedicated to the development and industrialization of low-carbon aircraft for civil and military use, announces the acquisition of the assets of VOLTAERO, a French company based in Rochefort and a pioneer in electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems. This transaction brings together two complementary areas of French expertise around a common goal: to accelerate the decarbonisation of aviation with concrete, certifi able, and industrially viable solutions developed in France. This acquisition provides AURA AERO with rare experience in hybrid-electric architectures and experimental aeronautical development: design, system integration, testing, fl ight operations, and data analysis. This expertise, accumulated by VOLTAERO over several years of work, fi nds its most concrete expression in the Cassio S, a hybrid-electric fl ying demonstrator. Since the start of its flight testing in 2019, it has completed more than 270 fl ights and covered approximately 15,500 miles under a variety of operating conditions. It thus serves as tangible proof of technological maturity and a direct catalyst for AURA AERO’s electric and hybrid-electric developments. The transaction also includes key technological and industrial assets: patents, engineering expertise, prototyping capabilities, infrastructure in Rochefort, and part of VOLTAERO’s team. It gives AURA AERO additional leverage to accelerate its electric and hybrid developments, particularly in connection with its INTEGRAL and ERA programs, the 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft, and its ENBATA drone project.
