BOC Aviation releases operational data for Q1: BOC Aviation Limited (HKEX Code: 2588, “BOC Aviation”) announces its operational transactions for the first quarter ended 31 March 2026. Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said, “We had a strong start to the year and delivered ten aircraft in the first quarter. We signed 20 lease commitments in the first three months, of which 19 were placements of new aircraft from our orderbook, reflecting the robust demand for aircraft. Our utilisation rate and our collection rate remained at 100% and we raised US$2.5 billion in funding markets, which lifted our liquidity to record levels. In a volatile environment this enables us to maintain our focus on long-term sustainable growth.” The company reported a total portfolio of 813 aircraft and engines owned, managed and on order; an average aircraft age of 5.1 years and an average remaining lease term of 7.7 years for the 461 owned aircraft fleet; an orderbook of 327 aircraft and one engine and a managed fleet comprised 13 aircraft. The company also reported a customer base of 88 airlines in 46 countries and regions in the owned and managed portfolios and said its owned aircraft utilisation was 100 percent. The company also said it executed 36 transactions in the first quarter of 2026, including: Delivery of ten aircraft; Sales of three managed aircraft; Commitment to purchase one engine; and 20 lease commitments. The company also said it raised US$2.5 billion of debt financing comprising US$500 million of seven-year bonds at a coupon of 4.375 percent per annum and US$2 billion of loan facilities with 19 banks globally. FL Technics Wheels & Brakes receives UK CAA Part-145 approval: FL Technics Wheels and Brakes, a provider of component maintenance services and part of FL Technics Group, has received approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), enabling the company to service UK-registered aircraft and expand its capabilities in the component MRO segment. The approval (UK.145.01957), issued on 6 February 2026, confirms compliance with UK Part-145 requirements and authorises the company to perform maintenance on components, including landing gear parts, within its approved scope of work. The certification allows the company to work directly with UK-registered operators, removing regulatory limitations and enabling it to support a wider range of customers within its existing component maintenance portfolio. “Obtaining UK CAA approval is an important milestone for our wheels and brakes business,” said Vytautas Jankauskas, CEO at FL Technics Wheels and Brakes. “It allows us to directly support UK-registered operators and broadens the scope of customers we can serve within our component maintenance activities.” FL Technics Wheels and Brakes operates across several European locations, providing repair and overhaul services for wheels, brakes, and landing gear components. The addition of UK CAA approval complements the company’s existing EASA Part-145 certification (under the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA)) and reinforces its strategy to ensure comprehensive regional coverage, respond effectively to client needs, and further expand its component MRO capabilities across Europe and beyond. Laila Odiņa to lead RIX Riga Airport for another five years: The Supervisory Board of State Joint Stock Company “Riga International Airport” has reappointed the current Chairperson of the Board, Laila Odiņa, for another five-year term, effective 16 April 2026. The decision was made following an evaluation of Laila Odiņa’s performance to date, including the results achieved in implementing the company’s strategic objectives, as well as the stability and continuity she has ensured in its operations.
