Vietjet adds flights to Western Sydney International: Vietjet and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) have exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding and announced a new direct service between Ho Chi Minh City and Western Sydney, expanding air connectivity between the two countries while supporting tourism, trade, investment, innovation and people-to-people links. The agreement was exchanged at the Vietnam – Australia Tech Connect Forum in Sydney. Operating two round-trip services per week, the new route will connect Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam’s leading economic hub – with Western Sydney, one of Australia’s emerging growth centres, facilitating greater movement of people and goods and supporting expanding trade and investment between the two economies. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City every Tuesday and Saturday at 9:20 p.m., arriving at WSI at 10:00 a.m. the following day. Return flights will depart WSI every Wednesday and Sunday at 12:05 p.m., arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 4:30 p.m. the same day (local times). AerFin signs multi-platform component deal with Lufthansa Technik: AerFin and Lufthansa Technik have signed a new multi-platform component agreement to ensure material availability with flexible supply chain solutions. The agreement supports Lufthansa Technik’s ongoing efforts to maintain reliable component availability in an increasingly dynamic aviation aftermarket. By providing access to serviceable material across the Airbus A320ceo and A320neo families, Boeing 737NG, Boeing 737MAX, Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 platforms, AerFin contributes additional flexibility and supply options within Lufthansa Technik’s component support network. Berit Plewinsky, Vice President Aircraft Component Services at Lufthansa Technik said: “We believe innovation thrives through collaboration. That’s why we’re seeking trusted partners to develop creative solutions that improve availability and create seamless flight operations for our customers.” James Bennett, Chief Commercial Officer at AerFin, said: “This agreement reflects the strength of our relationship with Lufthansa Technik and our shared focus on delivering practical, high-quality solutions to the market.” Flyadeal adds services to India: Saudi Arabia’s flyadeal announced Mumbai as its second gateway in India, opening bookings for non-stop flights between Riyadh and Mumbai beginning October 3, 2026. This builds on flyadeal’s recent entry into the Indian market as the airline inaugurated its service to Hyderabad on July 3, 2026.  Flyadeal will operate five times a week between Riyadh and Mumbai using its modern fleet of A320neo aircraft, boosting capacity by more than 7,400 seats each month between the two cities.  The new Mumbai-Riyadh flights are conveniently timed to provide a morning arrival into Mumbai from Riyadh, and likewise a mid-morning arrival into Riyadh from Mumbai.  Flyadeal’s A320neo aircraft that will be used on this route feature 186 seats in an all Economy Class configuration and Airbus’ acclaimed ‘Airspace’ cabin interior with extra-large overhead bins for increased stowage capacity as well as cabin design and lighting designed to create a welcoming ambience and maximise comfort. Royal Jordanian Airlines taps Ramco Systems for software: Enterprise aviation software provider Ramco Systems FZ – LLC, a subsidiary of Ramco Systems Limited, announced that Royal Jordanian Airlines, the National carrier of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has selected Ramco’s next-generation Aviation Software to support its next phase of growth, following a comprehensive evaluation of global aviation software solutions. With modules for Engineering and CAMO, Maintenance – Line, Hangar and Shop, Supply Chain Management, Safety, Quality and Compliance and MRO and Part Sales, Ramco Aviation Software provides Royal Jordanian with a single, unified digital platform that will enhance operational efficiency and ensure control and compliance through centralized technical documentation and audit-ready reporting. Asia Pacific aviation safety leaders to gather in Kuala Lumpur: Preparations are underway for the Asia Pacific Aviation Safety Seminar 2027 (APASS 2027), which will take place from 7–9 September 2027 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Organised by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) and hosted by Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) with the support of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), APASS 2027 will bring together aviation leaders, safety professionals, regulators, aircraft and engine manufacturers, maintenance organisations, air navigation service providers, training organisations and technology partners from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
