Aerotel offers a unique airport transit hotel concept, strategically located in either airside or landside of major international airports. The debut of Aerotel at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) introduces an enhanced level of convenience and comfort, offering travellers a pre-flight oasis to rest, recharge, and refresh—right inside the terminal.

Designed with today’s diverse travellers in mind, Aerotel Shanghai offers 82 rooms, with flexible hourly booking options catering to the unique needs of transit, departure, and arrival passengers, making it the ideal retreat for those navigating long-haul journeys or layovers. The hotel features a variety of thoughtfully appointed rooms for solo guests, couples, and families with a select number of rooms also offering runway views. Each room is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, handpicked mattresses and pillows, invigorating hot showers, and complimentary amenities to ensure a restful stay.

The launch of Aerotel Shanghai further strengthens PPG’s global service network. This entry also marks the Aerotel brand’s first presence into Shanghai, a major international aviation hub, bringing travellers an unprecedented level of convenience and comfort. 

Aerotel’s debut in Shanghai marks a significant milestone for Plaza Premium Group, strategically expanding its global service network at one of the world’s leading aviation hubs. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), renowned for its high passenger volume and extensive flight connections, serves as a vital gateway between China and the world. The launch of Aerotel Shanghai is a targeted initiative to deliver premium airport accommodation for international travellers. It caters to a range of needs from transit and layovers to departures and arrivals, further enhancing Shanghai Pudong International Airport’s service standards and competitiveness, and becoming a crucial part of Plaza Premium Group’s global network.

Located on the 6th and 7th floors of Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Aerotel Shanghai sits just a three-minute walk from both domestic and international security checkpoints and the airport’s core facilities. As part of the airport’s traveller accommodation services, the hotel provides a seamless “zero-transfer” lodging solution, allowing guests to enjoy comfortable stays without the need for additional transportation. Alongside premium in-room amenities, the new Aerotel also offers a variety of dining options and public spaces accessible to all passengers.

The Hub, located on the 7th floor, features both buffet breakfast daily and à la carte options to satisfy every palate. It is adjacent to a serene rooftop garden lounge, where travellers can enjoy a welcoming space to unwind. On the 6th floor, the Grab and Go area provides convenient, 24-hour snacks for those on the move. The hotel also offers a co-working space, resting room, and luggage storage for all guests to accommodate various needs.

To date, Aerotel has established locations in 10 cities globally: London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Cebu, Qingdao, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Muscat, Jeddah and the latest in Shanghai—offering 635 rooms in total. This new property will mark Aerotel’s 10th global location and its second in Mainland China. Aerotel Muscat (landside area) will be the 11th Aerotel and the second in Oman, which is slated to open in December 2025. It will feature an indoor swimming pool, wellness, and a food & beverage outlet.
