https://www.interairport-southeastasia.com/en-gb/lp/exprom-2.htmlAzerbaijan Airlines and Lufthansa Technik AG have signed a comprehensive five-year contract regarding a Total Component Support (TCS) for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body long-range fleet of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s national air carrier.

The carrier’s first TCS contract, which comes into effect on 1 May, will significantly strengthen Azerbaijan Airlines’ technical operations. It will give the airline 24/7 access to Lufthansa Technik’s global spare parts pool network. Among other services, the TCS includes an AOG (Aircraft On Ground) support that guarantees Azerbaijan Airlines shortest possible delivery for time-critical components. In an important strategic step for the provision of maintenance and technical services, the contract has been tailored to include additional flexibility, so that it can easily cover the carrier’s planned fleet expansion.

“Ensuring flight safety is Azerbaijan Airlines’ highest priority,” says Samir Rzayev, First Vice President of Azerbaijan Airlines. “The signing of an agreement with the leading component provider Lufthansa Technik is another example of this.”

“We are honoured to support Azerbaijan Airlines on its growth path through our proven component support, and we are especially honoured to service their flagship aircraft,” added Andreas van de Kuil, Vice President Sales Central Europe & CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) at Lufthansa Technik. “With this contract, we live up to our outstanding reputation as a reliable partner in the global MRO industry and further expand our market share in the CIS.”
