Korean Air was chosen as Best Airline for International First Class and airline with the Best Business-class Seat Design in Global Traveler’s 2021 Tested Reader Survey Awards. The airline placed second in the Best Trans-Pacific Airline, Best Airline in North Asia and Best Airline for Flight Attendants categories; third in Best Airline Cuisine and Best Airline for Onboard Service; and fifth in Best Airline for Business Class and Best Corporate Program for Business Travelers. In recognition of its achievements across many categories, Korean Air took fourth place in Best Overall Airline in the World.
Global Traveler is a monthly luxury travel magazine based in the U.S. Every year, the magazine conducts a survey in which its online and offline subscribers vote for the best companies in various travel-related categories. The media then announces the top companies in each category based on the results.
Korean Air’s recognition in the awards can be attributed to the airline’s continued investment and focus on service level enhancement. The airline has recently equipped its first class cabins with Kosmo Suites 2.0 and prestige (business) class cabins with Prestige Suites 2.0 to enhance passenger comfort. The airline also upgraded its in-flight entertainment system to offer a wider variety of contents, and uses seasonal ingredients to offer high-quality in-flight meals to enhance the customer’s experience.
The airline’s investment in IT infrastructure and innovation has led to new services such as real-time baggage tracking and chatbot support on the mobile platform, to facilitate the customer’s journey.
