Jetcraft Commercial, the commercial division of global aircraft trading firm Jetcraft, said it has delivered two ATR 72-500s to FlyJaya, the Indonesian regional airline. The turboprops were first secured by Jetcraft Commercial from Cebu Pacific and have undergone comprehensive maintenance checks before being placed with FlyJaya. They will now play a key role in enhancing connectivity from Nusantara, Indonesia’s new capital city.
Raphael Haddad, President, Jetcraft Commercial, says: “This deal highlights Jetcraft Commercial’s ability to source and place aircraft to support growth in high-demand regions. The ATR 72-500’s optimized airframe and superior runway performance make it ideally suited to Indonesia’s diverse geography and FlyJaya’s short-haul market.”
Pak Gamal, CEO, FlyJaya, says: “Jetcraft Commercial has been instrumental in providing the right aircraft for our launch. We are now well-positioned to connect Nusantara with multiple destinations, fostering economic development and accessibility across Indonesia.”
This transaction builds on Jetcraft Commercial’s strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region and follows the company’s recent placements of ATR aircraft across emerging markets. The ATR 72-500 continues to demonstrate its value as a versatile regional turboprop, offering airlines a cost-effective and fuel-efficient solution for short-haul operations.
National Jet Express welcomes 2 additional aircraft

National Jet Express (NJE) announced the delivery of its 11th De Havilland Dash 8 Q400 turboprop and its eighth Embraer E190 jet, bringing the NJE operating fleet to 26 aircraft. The aircraft will support the growing number of resource contracts won by NJE, especially in the fast expanding Queensland operations, as well as inject additional capacity to NJE’s Western Australia operating base.
“NJE notices the resource sector being increasingly mindful of their duty of care towards their staff and the environment and therefore are turning away from the 20-30-year old fuel guzzling aircraft still used by most of the other charter operators,” said NJE’s Executive Director (Business Development) Alex Ananian-Cooper. “NJE has one of Australia’s most modern, reliable and fuel-efficient fleet for the resource sector and our customers tell us they highly value the comfort, environmental benefits and reliability that come with operating these aircraft. To meet the increasing demand for our services, we continue to actively source additional aircraft and hope to add a couple more aircraft in this calendar year.”
NJE was founded in 1994 and with the new fleet additions operates a fleet of 11 Dash 8-Q400s and eight Embraer 190 jets serving clients in the mining and resources across Australia. It has aircraft, crew and engineering bases supporting the construction, mining and resources industries in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane. Additionally, NJE owns and operates four British Aerospace 146s for night freight between Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast and three De Havilland Dash 8-100 aircraft for FIFO operations in Papua New Guinea and between PNG and Cairns. NJE conducts its own aircraft maintenance onshore with a heavy maintenance facility and FBO in Adelaide supporting its entire fleet of aircraft, as well as third-party engineering work.
