Jet Aviation wins AsBAA’s Best MRO Icons of Aviation award for 4th year running

Jet Aviation is pleased to announce it won the Best MRO Provider award at the AsBAA Icons of Aviation (IOA) 2018 awards event held in Hong Kong on November 10, 2018. The annual IOA Awards commend the industry’s best in the region in appreciation of their vital support. This year, AsBAA honored former Hawker Pacific CEO, Alan Smith, with the Lifetime Achievement award.

Founded by the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) in 2015, Jet Aviation was recipient of the IOA’s 2018 Best MRO award in the region for the fourth consecutive year. Jet Aviation had 20 employees representing its regional MRO, FBO and Aircraft Management and Charter businesses at the annual charity gala and awards dinner held in Hong Kong, including David Best, VP Business Development at Jet Aviation and former Vice Chairman at AsBAA, and John Riggir, VP Regional Operations Asia & GM Singapore. Both Best and Riggir currently serve the AsBAA Board of Governors.

“It’s a great honor to receive this award and have our MRO operations lauded by the industry,” said Riggir. “I am very proud of the team and pleased to see their collective efforts recognized. They give everything they have to ensure our customers remain safe and mobile. Their commitment to the highest standards is unwavering.”

Best was equally pleased, adding, “AsBAA once again organized a spectacular event to acknowledge the great efforts of so many dedicated business aviation professionals. Today is a day on which we should all be proud of what we have achieved. Personally, I am delighted to see Alan recognized for his life’s work and commitment to the business aviation industry. He’s a true professional.”

Former Hawker Pacific CEO, Alan Smith, received the Legends of Aviation award at AsBAA’s annual charity gala and awards dinner. Jet Aviation acquired Hawker earlier this year to expand its footprint and customer offer across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
