Subaru Corporation announced that it has been awarded two contracts of for SUBARU BELL 412EPX helicopters from Nara Prefecture and Miyazaki prefectures. These helicopters are scheduled to be delivered to the customers in 2025. The helicopters are expected to be used for firefighting, rescue, emergency medical services and information gathering. With these contracts, the total number of SUBARU BELL 412EPX orders in the commercial market in Japan has reached nine.
The SUBARU BELL 412EPX has commonalities with the BELL 412EP that Nara Prefecture and Miyazaki Prefecture currently own. Therefore, it enables smooth introduction and transition by utilising the existing resources. In addition to that, the SUBARU BELL 412EPX provides better operational capability and efficiency with improved performance such as extended hover ceiling and increased useful load.
