Honeywell and Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd (GAMECO) announced a license agreement to authorise GAMECO as Honeywell’s third-party channel partner for aircraft component repairs.
This partnership signifies Honeywell’s first licensed third-party channel partner for airlines maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) in China. The five-year, non-exclusive agreement will support MRO activities on the China Southern Airlines aircraft fleet. These activities will continue to expand to other airlines in PAPC region, offering GAMECO access to a broader market and provides Chinese airlines with the opportunity to optimise repair capability resources.

The collaboration between Honeywell and GAMECO culminates in a comprehensive component repair license, encompassing comprehensive technical support for a full spectrum of repair capabilities. As one of the largest MRO players in China, GAMECO holds a pivotal role in advancing repair capability and market development. Under Honeywell’s license, GAMECO will be able to extend component repair services to third-party airlines during aircraft maintenance, consolidating resources and aligning with the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s (CAAC) call for enhanced capabilities.
