HK Express expands Air + Ferry Pass Network

AAV_Bulletin_NEWSHK Express Airways (HK Express) announced a further expansion of its “Air + Ferry” Pass Network, by adding a connection at Nansha Ferry Port in Guangzhou, in collaboration with Chu Kong Passenger Transport Company Limited (CKS). Starting from 24 April, travellers from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) can reach the Hong Kong International Airport via connecting ports at Guangzhou Nansha, Guangzhou Pazhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan and Dongguan.  Travellers can purchase open-jaw tickets via the official HK Express website or WeChat MiniApp. “Gotta Go” with ease to HK Express’ destinations across Asia.

A total of 51 sailings will be provided each day, connecting Hong Kong to cities in the GBA. The frequency of daily sailings are as follows:

Guangzhou Nansha Ferry Port is located near the Guangzhou Metro Line 4, with a number of ancillary facilities in the vicinity, well-situated for travellers commuting between the two places.

HK Express also has reported strong business performance during the first quarter of 2024 and achieved average load factors that exceeded 97% during the Easter holidays in April. As the Labour Day Golden Week holiday approaches, demand for HK Express services continues to grow significantly. Current bookings to destinations in North Asia have exceeded 90% occupancy, with some routes to South Korea achieving a booking rate of over 95%.

“As the Golden Week nears, we have observed a steady rise in demand for travel from Chinese Mainland to Hong Kong as well as transit connections via Hong Kong to other cities across Asia,” said HK Express CEO Jeanette Mao. “To better serve the Greater Bay Area market, HK Express is boosting the number of flights on popular routes within Southeast Asia, including our new services to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, to commence on 25 April 2024, as well as increasing the weekly number of flights between HK and Danang from 10 to 14, starting from 28 April 2024. Additionally, with the arrival of the summer holiday peak travel season in July, we foresee a steady surge in local and regional travel needs.
