“HK Express attaches great importance to the Southeast Asian market,” Mao added. “This year, we have launched four new destinations, including Penang, Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, Clark in the Philippines, and will commence services to Phu Quoc, Vietnam next month. Currently, a quarter of our customers are from the Greater Bay Area. As this year coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, along with the recent extension of visa exemptions between both countries, we anticipate an influx of mainland Chinese travellers to Penang. Our new route not only offers more choices for travellers but also contributes to enhancing cultural exchange between these two regions,” she added.
