Hainan plans to order 30 787-9s

Hainan Airlines plans to order 30 Boeing 787-9s in an order valued at US$7.7 billion at list prices.

The Chinese Group said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange that it would take delivery of the first unit in 2021. It currently has eight 787-8s in service.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the relatively early delivery slots are coming from United Continental, which is converting some of its 787-9 orders to 777-300ERs.
