HAECO Group announced that it is establishing a new centralised commercial organisation that which will more effectively project the group’s expanding capabilities, service and product offerings to a worldwide customer base, improving customer focus and advocacy. This development will supplement the existing network that HAECO maintains in supporting service levels to its customers globally. The company has named Richard Kendall, currently its Group Director Airframe Services, to lead this organisation as Chief Commercial Officer, effective 22 February 2021.
Frank Walschot, HAECO Group’s CEO, said, “I am delighted to be able to announce this development within HAECO to improve customer focus across the broad range of HAECO’s activities, and the appointment of Richard Kendall as Chief Commercial Officer. Richard is uniquely qualified to lead this initiative given his extensive management experience gained over 36 years with Swire group, including roles leading our HAESL engine MRO joint venture with Rolls-Royce, chief executive of HAECO Americas and, most recently, responsible for our Airframe Services segment.”
The company has named James Ginns to succeed Kendall as Group Director Airframe Services from the same date. Ginns has recently joined HAECO Group from Cathay Pacific Airways, where his recent roles included those of Chief Risk Officer, Director Service Delivery and Regional General Manager in Europe and Japan.
The HAECO Group is a major aircraft engineering and maintenance service provider. The group provides a range of services encompassing Airframe Services, Line Services, Cabin Solutions, Private Jet Solutions, Fleet Technical Management, Inventory Technical Management, Component Overhaul, Aerostructure Repairs, Landing Gear Services, Engine Services, Global Engine Support, Parts Manufacturing and Technical Training. The HAECO Group consists of 16 operating companies, employing around 17,000 staff in Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Europe, and the United States.
