Goshawk shareholders approve SMBC Aviation Capital offer

Alsim-ALS-BannerGoshawk Aviation Limited, a Dublin-based aircraft lessor, announced that it has received approval from shareholders NWS Holdings Limited and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited (CTFE) for lessor SMBC Aviation Capital Limited to acquire substantially all of Goshawk’s commercial aircraft leasing business, excluding any aircraft leased to Russian airlines.

The acquisition is subject to applicable regulatory approvals and customary completion requirements and is expected to close in the second half of 2022. Citi acted as lead financial advisor, HSBC acted as joint financial advisor and Clifford Chance acted as legal advisor.
