George Y. Chang Named President and CEO of AVIAGE SYSTEMSThe AVIAGE SYSTEMS Board of Directors announced on 28th Feb that George Chang will join AVIAGE SYSTEMS as President and CEO, effective immediately. George will succeed Alan Jones, who has taken a new role within GE Aviation in the United States. 

George Chang brings more than 21 years of GE experiences in cross functional teams on commercial excellence, marketing, supply chain, program management and engineering programs. His global experience spans from working for GE in the United States for 12 years and GE China for the last 9 years serving customers from around the world.  His most recent role was Aviation Sales Regional General Manager for Southern China based in Shanghai. George and his team closed over US$16B in new engine and services backlog. Before this, George was the General Manager for the GE Aviation Suzhou manufacturing plant, where he successfully turned around the site to be a leading, new parts center in Aviation.  George brings to AVIAGE SYSTEMS extensive global leadership experiences along with a strong commercial and operational background.

George earned a MS in Materials Science & Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a BS of physics and physics-engineering from Washington & Lee University.

                                 George Chang said, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with the GE and AVIC Board of Directors along with my new team, to continuously contribute to the China C919 project and to grow AVIAGE SYSTEMS to new heights.”
