GE & EGAT in new JV
GE Aviation and Taiwan’s EGAT have formed a new joint-venture specializing in the overhaul of the GEnx engines that power the Boeing 787 and 747-8.
The new venture will be known as GE Evergreen Engine Services. GE Aviation will begin providing training and tooling for GEnx later this year, and the facility will be able to perform limited work on GEnx beginning in 2015 with full overhaul capability to follow by 2019.
