EPCOR, the Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) center of excellence for repair of APUs (Auxiliary Power Units) and components, and Philippine Airlines announced a partnership for the maintenance of Philippine Airlines’ APUs for their A320 fleet. This agreement specifically encompasses the APU131-9A.
By engaging EPCOR’s specialised expertise in APU maintenance, the airline will gain access to a comprehensive suite of support services, including repair, overhaul, spare APU leasing and Prognos for APU, the state-of-the-art predictive maintenance software.
EPCOR’s extensive experience in APU maintenance is expected to significantly enhance Philippine Airlines’ operational efficiency and fleet readiness. The agreement is designed to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality maintenance support, thereby contributing to the seamless operation of the airline’s A320 fleet. In addition to this agreement, EPCOR currently maintains two additional APU contracts with Philippine Airlines: one pertaining to the GTCP331-350 (A330 and A340) and the other to the GTCP500 (777).
“This partnership with EPCOR signifies an important progression in maintaining the highest levels of safety and reliability for our fleet,” said Alvin Kendrich Limqueco, PAL Senior Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer. “We look forward to the efficiency and operational benefits that this collaboration with EPCOR will deliver to our operations.”
