Unshakable_Biz_PilotSydney will be the first city on Emirates’ network to offer the new Premium Economy cabin on all flights between the airline’s Dubai hub. Flight EK414 will touch down at Sydney Airport at 10:30pm, making the EK414/EK415 services the second between Sydney and Dubai to now operate on Emirates’ newly retrofitted flagship A380, equipped with the new cabin. The EK414/415 service joins the EK412/EK413 service, which had already been offering the Premium Economy cabin since 1 August this year.

EK414 departs Dubai at 2:00am and arrives in Sydney at 10:30pm the same day. EK415 departs Sydney at 6:00am and arrives in Dubai at 1:20pm the same day. Emirates’ other service EK412 departs Dubai at 10:15am and arrives in Sydney at 7:00am the next day. EK413 departs Sydney at 9:45pm and arrives in Dubai at 5:15am the next day. All times are local.

The Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration. In the cabin, every inch of space anticipates customer needs with a generous seat pitch and width for working and relaxing, and customised features that offer function and convenience like in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table. The experience is rounded off with expertly curated in-flight amenities, an inventive menu and extensive beverage options.

The addition of Premium Economy seats to the second Sydney service comes as part of Emirates’ retrofit programme, consisting of a multi-billion-dollar investment to ensure customers continue to have the best experience in the sky.

Barry Brown, Divisional Vice President Australasia at Emirates said, “Emirates is making a significant investment in its cabin experience as part of its A380 retrofit programme. Now, with two services offering Australians Premium Economy, Sydney sits at the forefront of this programme which is a testament to our commitment to Australia and the demand we are seeing from customers. We look forward to welcoming more Australians on board to enjoy the subtle luxury of Premium Economy.”

The Emirates A380 experience has long been taking passenger comfort to new levels, with an extensive suite of products that turn the journey itself into a destination, including one of the industry’s largest screens for customers to enjoy the airline’s award-winning in-flight entertainment system, ice. Customers travelling in First and Business Class cabins can enjoy the aircraft’s signature features such as the popular Onboard Lounge and fully flat seats in Business Class, as well as private suites and Shower Spas in First Class.

In Australia, Emirates flagship A380 aircraft offers twice-daily services to both Sydney and Melbourne, and a once-daily service to Brisbane and Perth.
