CSeries EIS delay
Bombardier has put back the CSeries CS100 entry into service by at least nine months to the second half of 2015.
The CS300 is scheduled to follow six months later. The manufacturer said that “based on the thorough review of the CSeries programme after the first flight of the CS100 on September 16, 2013, the flight test phase will require more time than originally anticipated to ensure, amongst other things, that the aircraft has the overall system maturity to support a successful entry-into-service.”
Asia-Pacific customers include Korean Air, which was scheduled to start taking ten CS300s in 2015, and China’s CDB Leasing, which has a conditional purchase agreement for five CS100s and ten CS300s, with options for an additional five CS100s and ten CS300s. Bombardier has also been talking to Indonesia’s Lion Air about a possible double-digit order for CS300s.
