Cirrus Aviation and ALSIM announced a strategic alliance designed to fuel ongoing expansion and address the increase in demand for the North American aviation market. A key component of this partnership involves the establishment of a new facility located in the southeastern region of the United States.
Over the past several years, ALSIM Simulators has experienced remarkable success, securing approximately 50 new customers in Canada and the United States since mid-2017. This continued growth and increasing market demand have prompted ALSIM to join forces with Cirrus Aviation to further promote their state-of-the-art flight training devices to both existing and potential customers, while ensuring exceptional customer service and support.
By establishing a US facility in partnership with Cirrus Aviation, ALSIM aims to provide unparalleled support, technical expertise, and enhanced services to customers throughout the continent. This collaborative effort will bolster the delivery of high-quality flight training solutions, cementing the combined strengths of ALSIM and Cirrus Aviation in the North American market.
“We are excited to announce this alliance with ALSIM,” said Nayda Cattin, Director of Cirrus Aviation. “This partnership is a natural fit that allows us to share the success of integrating these machines into the training environment in order to efficiently meet the growing demand for pilot training.”
“We are delighted to collaborate with Cirrus Aviation,” commented Jean-Paul Monnin, President and CEO of ALSIM. “This alliance will empower us to better serve our customers, provide comprehensive technical services, and expand our market presence in North America.”

First FAA-certified ALSIM ALSRcompact simulator in the USA
ALSIM announced that Aero Atlanta Flight Center has successfully obtained the Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) simulator qualification for their ALSIM ALSRcompact. The ALSIM ALSRcompact is a new streamlined SR-series Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) and is a replica of the Cirrus Aviation SR20 G6 aircraft. This durable and reliable simulator is the right device for various pilot licenses and Cirrus Aircraft transition and familiarization training. The ALSRcompact is equipped with a real Garmin Perspective + and has a small form factor designed for space-constrained environments. The device is delivered in a pre-assembled kit that can be easily self-installed and ready to fly in only a couple of hours.
Daniel J. Christman, President at Aero Atlanta, declared: “The successful certification of our ALSIM ALSRcompact simulator stands as a remarkable accomplishment between all parties engaged. As a result, our clients now have the privilege of accrediting the hours spent in the simulator towards their private and commercial certificates or instrument rating.”
Jordan Basirico, ALSIM FSTD Qualification Engineer, adds: “After great teamwork with Aero Atlanta, we are proud to add the ALSRcompact on the list of our FAA approved simulators. The device offers a comprehensive set of training capabilities on real Garmin equipment, all within a space-efficient design. We are pleased to welcome Cirrus pilots, instructors, and enthusiasts for a test-flight at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023.”
