festivalTaiwan-based China Airlines has announced a second partnership with The North Face as it prepares for post-pandemic passenger traffic recovery. The all-new travel kit concept incorporates the travel life philosophy of China Airlines and the outdoor spirit of The North Face. The new kits will gradually make an appearance in Premium Business and Premium Economy Class on long-haul flights.

The amenity kit from the 2019 between China Airlines and The North Face proved to be very popular. For the new year, China Airlines upgraded the amenity kit into a travel kit that offers increased utility and functionality to encourage reuse. The travel kit will be offered in two styles, one for Premium Business Class and the other for Premium Economy Class, on long-haul routes. The all-new travel kit in energetic yellow and timeless black will be unveiled to the Premium Business Class first, with the Premium Economy version to be introduced at a later date.

The North Face is a leading outdoor activity brand. Flying elements were retained in the latest China Airlines travel kit including the zipper key ring with ribbons popular with aviation enthusiasts. Both versions of the travel kit will also include a carry loop for convenient stowage. The Premium Business Class version will also come with a carry strap for different usage.

Innovation in environmental protection was chosen as the design theme by China Airlines, whole The North Face emphasised functionality and sustainability. The travel kit is made from recycled PET (rPET) materials and the eco-friendly design was extended to even the external packaging. Premium Business Class uses washable craft paper packaging while Premium Economy Class uses EPI bio-degradable bags to reduce the consumption of disposable plastics and do their part for environmental sustainability.

The all-new China Airlines travel kit is loaded with great content. The Norwegian skin care brand “SPREKENHUS” was chosen to supply passengers with environmentally sustainable and high-performance products including hand cream, lip balm, and hand sanitiser. Each cabin class will feature its own selection of products. Other supplies include an oral hygiene kit, eye mask, ear plugs, and compact folding hairbrush. Eco-friendly materials were given precedence in everything from the packaging to the contents to encourage travelers to join in protecting the environment.

China Airlines gives great importance to every aspect of the passenger experience during flights and has been progressively introducing new in-flight services in the post-pandemic period. From January onwards, bed-making services will be available for Premium Business Class on long-haul routes (except for Oceania routes). The fully flat seats will be fitted with all new soft mattresses and skin-friendly down duvets and pillows.
