ALSIM announced that one of the largest Canadian flight schools, Brampton Flight Centre, has purchased an AL250 simulator to add to their flight training devices. The AL250 simulator addresses initial phase training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is SEP/MEP re–configurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation and more than 100 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.
Allan Paige, General Manager at Brampton Flight Centre, explains: “We wanted to replace one of our old FTD’s because it has become expensive to maintain and keep operational. We began to look for a reconfigurable FTD that can simulate our fleet of 19 C-172’s (glass and analog) and 2 Piper Seminoles and has been approved to the latest, very demanding, Transport Canada standards for Level 2 FTD’s. After speaking to several manufacturers and a customer who owns an AL250, we selected the ALSIM AL250 because it can simulate both the C-172 and Seminole, has modern and upgradeable avionics to allow us to teach the latest IFR procedures, the capability to do Instrument Proficiency Checks, and a highly realistic visual system. In addition, from speaking to ALSIM’s other customer, we were impressed by the customer support and certification assistance that they received from ALSIM.”
Jason Da Costa, Business development and ALSIM Sales Manager, adds: “It is a great pleasure for ALSIM to have been selected by the Brampton Flight Centre as the flight training device manufacturer of choice. The Brampton Flight Centre has an exceptional training program and a wonderful reputation. The addition of an ALSIM AL250 will allow the Brampton Flight Centre to provide the latest procedures and capabilities in a state-of-the-art, high-fidelity flight training device. This alignment allows for the continued shared vision in providing aviation training excellence.”
