Boeing Shanghai gets EASA Part21 DOA approval

Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has become the first EASA Part21 Design Organization Approval (DOA) holder in China. This makes Boeing Shanghai a one-stop MRO offering engineering design, maintenance and modification services.

“Being the first in China to earn this EASA certificate sets Boeing Shanghai apart from the competition in supporting customers operating in Asia, Europe and around the world,” said Stan Deal, senior vice president, Boeing Commercial Aviation Services. “This demonstrates the continued growth of Boeing Shanghai and its abilities to provide unparalleled aftermarket services to airlines and leasing companies.”

The new certification enables Boeing Shanghai to provide airlines and leasing companies with a complete certification package including minor changes to aircraft cabin interiors, electrical systems and structures as well as minor repairs to aircraft structures.

“This latest accomplishment by the outstanding team at Boeing Shanghai underscores Boeing’s commitment to widening and deepening the Company’s presence and capabilities in China, the world’s second-largest and fastest-growing aviation market,” said Ian Thomas, President of Boeing China. “We congratulate Boeing Shanghai and our partners on another successful milestone which forms part of a long term partnership with China’s aviation industry.”
