BOC Aviation leases A321neos to Thai Airways

Aviation FestivalBOC Aviation announced that it has placed five Airbus A321neo aircraft from its orderbook with Thai Airways International (“THAI”). All aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines.

“We are pleased to be working once more with long-time customer, Thai Airways,” said Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, BOC Aviation. “The delivery of these technologically advanced aircraft is an important transaction in the development of our portfolio and will support Thai Airways as it expands its fleet and regional network.”

BOC Aviation is a global aircraft operating leasing company with a portfolio of 829 aircraft and engines owned, managed and on order. Its owned and managed fleet was leased to 93 airlines in 48 countries and regions worldwide as at 31 March 2025. BOC Aviation is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx code: 2588) and has its headquarters in Singapore with offices in Dublin, London, New York and Tianjin.

THAI, Thailand’s flag carrier established in 1960 and a founding member of the Star Alliance, operates flights to 63 domestic and international destinations utilising a fleet of 80 aircraft from its main hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.
