BOC Aviation Limited announced it has delivered a Boeing 737-8 aircraft for lease to Eastar Jet Co. Ltd. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.

“With the proactive cooperation of BOC Aviation, we were able to successfully deliver a Boeing 737-8 aircraft within the scheduled date,” said Sang-Jong, Yoo, Chief Operating Officer of Eastar Jet. “We had experienced the operational efficiency of Boeing 737-8 by operating it for the first time in South Korea. Starting with this Boeing 737-8, we will expand our routes and initiate substantial business expansion.”
From its operating base at Gimpo in Seoul, Eastar Jet offers services to Jeju Island in southern Korea. Eastar commenced operations in 2009 and now operates three Boeing 737-800 aircraft. BOC Aviation is a global aircraft operating leasing company with a fleet of 635 aircraft owned, managed and on order. Its owned and managed fleet was leased to 86 airlines in 39 countries and regions worldwide as at 31 March 2023.
