Andrew Newell takes over as General Manager at Bii.aero; Management changes at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation

After two years as Bii’s Sales Director, Newell is bringing his highly specialised expertise of consignment stock management and the commercial aircraft interiors sector to the role. Newell is planning to build up the size and capabilities of the Company, firstly by reconfiguring all the warehouses. “We are investing significantly in our stock levels to accommodate the rising demand of Bii’s component support services. All the new inventory coming in will add a constant feed of activity into the business for the next few years, and spearhead Bii’s growth trajectory. “To improve efficiency, we are redesigning our customer service processes to handle the increasing demand of parts enquiries more smoothly.” Francis Cradock, CEO of Bii said, “As Andrew takes on this challenging role at Bii, we welcome his depth of previous experience as Managing Director of Eagle Air Trading, and Vice President of Leki Aviation UK for 26 years before that. His experience will greatly benefit Bii as we continue to add structure and streamline operations. With growing sales from airlines in the Middle East and America, we’re looking to expand Bii’s focus into Asia, Africa and South America in the next few years. Andrew’s knowledge and experience of these global markets will support our growth initiatives and mentor our young and enthusiastic team, especially as we increase our capabilities and our resources to support a rising demand for our flexible component stock support options as well as our repair management programmes.”

Management changes at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation: Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, divisional control company of the product segment aerospace and transportation systems within the Liebherr Group, announced several changes in the management. The position of Chief Commercial Officer and of Chief Services Officer are combined under the responsibility of a Chief Customer Officer. The current Chief Commercial Officer, Nicolas Bonleux, has decided to leave the Liebherr Group on May 31, 2022.The current Chief Services Officer, Alex Vlielander, will take over the position of Chief Customer Officer. The Boards of Management of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH and Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS are changing in line. A position of Managing Director in charge of the commercial domain covering OE sales, customer service and serial program management is created. Gerd Heinzelmann is joining the Board of Management of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH in Germany as from June 1, 2022. Sami Blal is joining the Board of Management of Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse in France as from June 1, 2022.
