From Indore: Air India Express operates more than 45 weekly flights from Indore connecting directly to 36 domestic destinations including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, North Goa, Pune and internationally to Sharjah. Additionally, the airline provides one-stop connectivity to 25 domestic destinations: Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Hindon, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Srinagar, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Varanasi, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam and seven international destinations including Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Kathmandu, Kuwait, Muscat, and Phuket. From Goa: Air India Express operates 40 weekly flights from Goa connecting directly to six domestic destinations including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hindon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai, and internationally to Dubai. News in brief on Air India Express Air India Akasa Air Emirates China Airlines STARLUX Alaska Airlines and other companiesAir India to move domestic flights at Delhi Airport to T2: Air India group announced adjustments to its domestic operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport due to the ongoing expansion activities at Terminal 3 (T3) by Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL) to augment international passenger capacity. The terminal enlargement works will reduce domestic capacity at T3, necessitating the relocation of certain domestic operations of Air India and Air India Express, effective 26 October 2025. Air India will relocate 60 of its 180 daily domestic departures out of Delhi to the upgraded Terminal 2 (T2). Concurrently, Air India Express will move all its domestic operations to the newly renovated and upgraded Terminal 1 (T1). All international flights of Air India and Air India Express will continue to operate from T3 Delhi Airport. Air India or Air India Express guests with connections, carrying boarding passes for their onward flights will be provided inter-terminal transfers between T1, T2, and T3. This service applies to connections between Air India flights, Air India Express flights, and on applicable codeshare connections. To ensure a smooth experience, Air India and Air India Express will be proactively notifying all guests who hold bookings for flights relocating to T2 and T1 (for Air India Express guests), via their registered contact details.

News in brief on Air India Express Air India Akasa Air Emirates China Airlines STARLUX Alaska Airlines and other companiesAkasa Air commences operations from Kozhikode: Akasa Air commenced operations from Kozhikode (Calicut) connecting it with Mumbai with daily direct flights. The maiden flight on 1 October departed Kozhikode International Airport at 1955hrs and arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 2140hrs. The route fortifies Akasa’s presence in Kerala and offers travellers enhanced accessibility to the Malabar region.  Since commencing operations from Kerala in 2022, Akasa Air has progressively scaled its presence in the state. The airline now operates total 28 weekly departures from Kochi and Kozhikode connecting Kerala with four key destinations across India and beyond – Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jeddah, and Abu Dhabi. In just under three years, the airline has expanded its capacity through a combination of new routes and increased frequencies, providing travellers with greater choice and convenience. Kerala continues to be a priority market in Akasa Air’s growth strategy, and the airline remains focussed on strengthening air connectivity to support the state’s travel, tourism, and trade sectors.

News in brief on Air India Express Air India Akasa Air Emirates China Airlines STARLUX Alaska Airlines and other companiesEmirates implements new rules on power banks: Using any kind of power bank is prohibited onboard Emirates’ flights effective from 1 October. Emirates provides in-seat charging on all aircraft but still recommends that customers fully charge their devices before flying, especially on longer duration flights. A ‘power bank’ is a portable, rechargeable device primarily designed to provide power to other electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets, laptops and cameras. Emirates customers are still permitted to carry one power bank onboard with specific conditions listed below, but the power banks may not be used while in the aircraft cabin – neither to charge devices from the power bank, nor to be charged themselves using the aircrafts’ power source. Emirates customers may carry one power bank that is under 100 Watt Hours. Power banks may not be used to charge any personal devices onboard. Charging a power bank using the aircraft’s power supply is not permitted. All power banks accepted for transport must have capacity rating information available. Power banks may not be placed in the overhead stowage bin onboard the aircraft and must now be placed in the seat pocket or in a bag under the seat in front of you. Power banks are not permitted in checked luggage (existing rule).

Following its collaboration with Yang Ming Spring on the Vegetarian Oriental Meal menu, the airline announced a new partnership with Little Tree Food, the Michelin Green Star and Bib Gourmand restaurant, on an all-new co-branded Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal menu. Starting October 1, passengers departing from Taoyuan will be able to enjoy Little Tree Food’s signature creations in the Western-style breakfast on long-haul routes, as well as in all Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal on all routes. This collaboration injects a fresh dimension of health, flavor, and sustainability into the in-flight dining experience. For this special partnership, Little Tree Food has tailored a selection of Western-style breakfast dishes for all three cabin classes on long-haul flights to the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia departing from Taoyuan. Travelers in Premium Business Class can savor the main of Truffle Scrambled Eggs and Salt-baked Sweet Potato with Cream Cheese Sauce, paired with truffle scrambled eggs. Premium Economy Class passengers will enjoy a Continental Breakfast with French Toast featuring fluffy toast with creamy scrambled eggs and grilled broccoli for a satisfying start to the morning. In Economy Class, travelers can opt for the Mushroom Fajita Omelette, a mouthwatering omelette combined with a fajita of red and yellow capsicum, green pepper, and onion creating layers of flavor even 10,000 feet up in the sky.

The enhanced agreement offers U.S. travellers streamlined booking, coordinated check-in, and smooth transfers through Alaska’s domestic network and STARLUX’s international gateways in San Francisco and Seattle. The newly added codeshare cities include: Via Seattle: Minneapolis, Atlanta, Tampa, Anchorage, Raleigh-Durham, Orlando, Washington Dulles, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Spokane, and Boise Via San Francisco: Newark. These cities join the original eight STARLUX–Alaska codeshare cities—Salt Lake City, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland, Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, and Austin—which have been operating since the end of 2024, and now connect via Seattle and San Francisco, reflecting STARLUX’s expanded U.S. gateway strategy.
