Avalon 25Air Tahiti announced two major innovations aimed at improving passenger experience: equipping its fleet with the latest TiSeat 2 V Prime model and launching its first “PREMIUM” class. Starting in November 2024, Air Tahiti will outfit its entire fleet with the TiSeat 2 V Prime, offering an optimised flight experience. This innovative model provides numerous benefits for passengers:

  • Reinforced seating with dual-level foam for long-lasting comfort;
  • A reclining backrest with an ergonomic cushion;
  • An adjustable headrest;
  • A holder for mobile devices or tablets.

The seats are individual, ensuring more comfort and space for each passenger. Constructed from composite materials and titanium, they are lightweight yet robust, meeting international HIC (Head Injury Criteria) safety standards. Air Tahiti thus becomes the first airline to offer this level of comfort on its domestic routes, as the seats have been specially developed for Air Tahiti.

True to its environmental values, Air Tahiti continues to focus on low-emission aircraft, using ATRs, which consume 45% less fuel compared to other aircraft types. The choice of the TiSeat 2 V Prime, manufactured by Expliseat, also aligns with this commitment. Expliseat is engaged in a circular economy process by recovering decommissioned seats and reusing some composite materials to make new trays. Additionally, Expliseat’s seats are 30% lighter, thus reducing the weight of the aircraft and, consequently, CO2 emissions.

Launch of ‘PREMIUM’ Class
Responding to growing demand, especially from international tourists, Air Tahiti announces the launch of its first “PREMIUM” class, available from April 2025. Located at the front of the aircraft, this new cabin offers 8 seats with extra space between rows and a range of exclusive services.

The new class will include:

  • Refined snacks: sweet options before 10:00 am and savory options thereafter for short and medium flights, along with gourmet tropical platters for longer routes (Marquesas, Gambier, Rarotonga);
  • A refreshing towel (oshibori) and a souvenir kit;
  • Priority service at all stages of the journey: check-in, boarding, and baggage delivery;
  • A higher baggage allowance.
