AerDragon Aviation Leasing Co. Ltd. signed a TrueChoice Overhaul agreement with GE. The agreement covers time and materials required to overhaul eight CFM56-5B engines installed on four A320ceo aircraft, which were delivered to AerDragon’s lessee customers and entered service in 2009 and 2010. This agreement will be fulfilled during the next four years. AerDragon is the first mainland China-based lessor doing aircraft operating lease business and placed the first A320ceo speculative order powered by CFM56-5B engines in 2007.

“GE is a pillar of the aviation industry and has supported AerDragon’s development since our inception. We are pleased to expand our partnership and become the first Chinese lessor customer of GE’s pioneering TrueChoice engine overhaul program. Working together with OEM partners, we look forward to providing cost effective solutions to our airline customers,” said Gang Li, CEO of AerDragon.

“We are very pleased to sign this TrueChoice engine overhaul agreement with AerDragon to further extend our partnership with this first Chinese lessor,” said Weiming Xiang, GE vice president, GE China president and CEO, GE Aviation Greater China president. “GE is thrilled to be the partner to support the phenomenal growth of Chinese aircraft lessors in the past 15 years. Despite the current unprecedent challenges, GE will continue to provide the world-class product, service, and support to our lessor customers to keep the GE engine fleet fly in the post COVID-19 pandemic.”

The TrueChoice suite of engine maintenance offerings incorporates an array of GE capabilities and customisation across an engine’s lifecycle. The TrueChoice suite includes: TrueChoice Flight Hour, TrueChoice Overhaul, TrueChoice Material, and TrueChoice Transitions.
