As part of a comprehensive cabin modification programme approved under an EASA STC, ABC International selected WeSky’s Recharge 60W USB-C in-seat power system for installation on Airbus A330 MSN 1037. The upgrade covers both Business and Economy Class cabins, providing USB-C and USB-A power to all 305 passengers.

To support the integration of the new system, the aircraft’s cabin electrical infrastructure was fully reworked by ABC International’s engineering team. Existing cabling was completely removed, raceways were installed, and dedicated seat-level modifications were implemented to accommodate the new power architecture. Both Business and Economy Class seats were adapted to facilitate the installation of the new USB power outlets, ensuring full compatibility with the WeSky system.

WeSky supplied the full suite of system LRUs (Line Replacement Unit) together with customised wire-harness kits developed specifically for the aircraft configuration. In addition to hardware delivery, WeSky’s engineering team supported ABC International throughout the integration phase, including equipment placement reviews, wire-harness configuration validation, and verification of each assembly prior to production. This close collaboration mitigated typical integration risks and contributed to a smooth installation process.

The Recharge system features a lightweight architecture, offering reduced weight compared to conventional wide-body in-seat power solutions. Each outlet provides up to 60W USB-C power and supports the PPS protocol, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of passenger electronic devices.

ABC International’s CEO, Rodolfo Baldascino, stated: “This programme reflects our approach to cabin modification projects, where technical integration, operational efficiency and collaboration with specialised partners are key elements. We would like to thank WeSky for their technical support and close cooperation, which enabled the successful integration of the in-seat power system. Partnerships like this are essential to delivering reliable and well-coordinated solutions for aircraft operators.”

Vytis Petrusevicius, Founder and CEO of WeSky, said: “We are proud to see our Recharge system flying on another A330 and grateful to ABC International for trusting and selecting WeSky as their technology partner for this programme. Our mission is to deliver in-seat power systems that are lighter, smarter, and easier to install, and this project is a perfect example of that vision in action. We look forward to supporting more A330 operators together with ABC.”
