Singapore AviationPegasus AirlinesBAA Training signs deal with Pegasus Airlines: BAA Training and Pegasus Airlines, a Turkish low-cost carrier, have recently signed a partnership agreement dedicated to delivering A320 Type Rating services for the airline’s pilots. The first group of pilot students started training in February this year, and the second group is set to begin in May. Considering Pegasus Airlines’ fleet expansion while transitioning into an all-Airbus fleet, the plan is to launch two more groups of pilots before the end of the year. The students will be trained at BAA Training’s facilities in Vilnius and Barcelona, equipped with top-notch A320 full flight simulators. BAA Training is part of the Avia Solutions Group family, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, with a fleet of 173 aircraft operating on every continent. The group also provides various aviation services such as MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, and other interconnected aviation solutions.

Dassault chooses TAGDassault chooses TAG for ground school training: Thanks to a new partnership with CAE, TAG Global Training has been selected as the ground school training provider for Dassault Falcon pilots who complete their initial simulator training at CAE Burgess Hill. TAG Global Training has gained a unique reputation within the industry for setting the standards in private aviation training. It provides every ground school subject required to operate an aircraft either commercially or under the requirements of Part NCC. The two-day courses, held at Farnborough airport, cover aviation first aid, wet drills, and all areas of safety emergency procedures, standard operating procedures and passenger handling. Graduate pilots then have the opportunity to return for their annual refresher training or to attend the many other courses that TAG Global Training has to offer.

AMBAAR ClubAirport Dimensions opens new airside lounge: Airport Dimensions has opened a new airside AMBAAR Club lounge at Salgado Filho Porto Alegre International Airport (POA) in Brazil as part of their ongoing collaboration with AMBAAR Lounge. The lounge is the second AMBAAR Club lounge to open at the airport and the first to open in the international terminal. The new AMBAAR Club POA lounge spans 250 square meters and can welcome 76 guests. Amenities include a TV area with chaise longues for guests to sit back and relax. The lounge utilises local materials for the design wherever possible and has been designed to reflect the culture of the region. With stone incorporated throughout, warm-toned walls, and locally inspired furniture and décor, the space is reflective of the sophistication and ‘welcoming’ atmosphere for which Serra Gaúcha’s country houses are famed and will undoubtedly revive pleasant memories of visits to Rio Grande do Sul. The international lounge will be open 24 hours a day so guests can enjoy the experience no matter when they fly.

Hongyuan GroupHongyuan Group partners with cargo.one: Hongyuan Group and cargo.one today announced a partnership that will see Hongyuan capacity available for instant booking on the market leading air cargo marketplace. Hongyuan Group is rapidly becoming an important operator for air cargo services between destinations in China and across Europe and South America. Partnering with the established, go-to marketplace for thousands of active freight forwarders will enable Hongyuan Group to boost sales and gain valuable ground rapidly in its digitalization of sales processes. With over 20 years of professional cargo logistics service experience, Hongyuan Group is well known to freight forwarders globally for its high-frequency air cargo flights between China, Europe and the United States. In addition to its self-owned capacity resources such as B747-8F and A330-200F, Hongyuan is significantly expanding its available capacity for the coming years to meet future air cargo demand. For the first time, thousands of freight forwarders will gain real-time digital access to Hongyuan’s routes and rates, with the new choice of instantly bookable offers and confirmation, all within a few minutes. For example, due to its front-loaded aircraft, Hongyuan Group offers forwarders the exciting option of booking up to 6 meter shipments – soon with cargo.one’s digital booking speeds.

Neste and Viva AerobusNeste and Viva Aerobus sign SAF purchase agreement: Neste and Viva Aerobus, the Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier, have signed a new purchase agreement for one million litres (264,000 gallons) of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supplied to Viva Aerobus will be blended with conventional jet fuel and used to power the airline’s flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey in Mexico. Last year, on June 15, Viva Aerobus completed its first flight powered by Neste’s SAF from Los Angeles to Guadalajara, and the current agreement is the next step in fulfilling the airline’s mission of further reducing its carbon emissions. SAF-powered flights will start to take off in the second half of 2023 with each flight using a fuel blend with about 35 percent of Neste MY SAF. The total volume of SAF purchased will help Viva Aerobus reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 2,415 tons of CO2e, equivalent to the emissions of 537 passenger cars in the U.S. in a year.

Datalex Datalex extends partnership with Air Transat: Datalex announced the renewal of its successful partnership with Air Transat, Canada’s number one leisure airline which flies to some 60 international destinations in more than 25 countries in the Americas and Europe. The renewal extends Datalex and Air Transat’s existing partnership for another five years, to drive next-generation retailing, an improved booking experience and enhanced digital customer engagement leveraging the Datalex product suite. Datalex will also continue to work with Air Transat as one of their key partners in extending interline / codeshare partnerships, such as those recently announced with WestJet and Porter Airlines, which create countless opportunities for Air Transat’s customers to connect seamlessly between North America and Europe, and across North America. The speed and ease of the codeshare and interline connections enabled by Datalex and other partners help Air Transat to deliver on the airline’s growth plans by providing more fare choice, better flight connectivity and a seamless travel experience for its customers.

AmadeusBhutan Airlines signs a new distribution deal with Amadeus: Travel sellers around the world can now book flights with Bhutan Airlines on the Amadeus Travel Platform. Operating out of Bhutan’s only international airport in Paro, the airline offers daily flights to Bangkok via Kolkata, India, and three flights a week to Delhi. This new partnership will help Bhutan Airlines gain visibility with travel sellers around the world, including travel management companies, tour operators, retail travel agencies, and online travel agencies. The airline is in the midst of a digital transformation to improve traveller experience. It recently launched a brand-new in-flight entertainment system that allows passengers the ability to stream entertainment on their own devices. Bhutan Airlines has two A319 aircrafts with a seating capacity of 126 passengers each.

CPaTCPaT partners with Breeze Airways: CPaT Global, the world’s leading provider of distance learning for the airline and aviation industry, announced they have been awarded a new contract with Breeze Airways. CPaT will provide an A220 and E190 FMS Skills Trainer. Breeze will also utilize CPaT Invent, which will empower them to modify their FMS lessons to match Breeze’ training scenarios and standard operating procedures. Breeze Airways began service in May 2021. One year later, it was ranked as the No. 2 U.S. best domestic airline of 2021 by Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards.  Breeze now offers a mix of 145 year-round and seasonal nonstop routes between 36 cities in 22 states. Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze operates a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
