Asian Aviation Editor Matt Driskill is In Conversation with Vivian Quenet, managing director for Asia-Pacific of Arianespace. Prior to assuming this role in February 2018, he was Vice President and Managing Director Asia-Pacific for maritime satellite communications provider KVH Industries Pte Ltd. He also served as the Asia-Pacific Sales Director for mobile satellite communications provider Vizada/Marlink (formerly part of Airbus Defense and Space), where he created the Asian operation for the group. A native of France, Quenet holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Sales and Marketing from the Université du Sud Toulon-Var in France, and speaks fluent French, English, and German. Quenet discusses Arianespace’s business in the Asia-Pacific region, the company’s current operations and future plans.

To serve its international clients, Arianespace is present worldwide: in France (headquarters at Evry, near Paris), in the United States (Washington, D.C.), in Japan (Tokyo) and Singapore. Arianespace operates its launch services from South America (at the Spaceport in French Guiana) and Central Asia (at Baikonur Cosmodrome).

Matt Driskill is the Editor of Asian Aviation and is based in Cambodia. He has been an Asia-based journalist and content producer since 1990 for outlets including Reuters and the International Herald Tribune/New York Times and is a former president of the Foreign Correspondents Club of Hong Kong. He appears on international broadcast outlets like Al Jazeera, CNA and the BBC and has taught journalism at Hong Kong University and American University of Paris. In 2022 Driskill received the "Outstanding Achievement Award" from the Aerospace Media Awards Asia organisation for his editorials and in 2024 received a "Special Recognition for Editorial Perspectives" award from the same organisation. Driskill has received awards from the Associated Press for Investigative Reporting and Business Writing and in 1989 was named the John J. McCloy Fellow by the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York where he earned his Master's Degree.
