Asian Aviation Editor Matt Driskill is In Conversation with NYU Professor David Yu who teaches finance at New York University Shanghai and Stern School and is a recognised expert in cross-border finance, investing and valuation including real assets and aviation. He is also chairman of China Aviation Valuation Advisors (CAVA) and Asia Aviation Valuation Advisors (AAVA), the only professional aviation valuation and advisory company in China. He is the only senior ISTAT (International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading) Certified Aviation Appraiser in China and North Asia and one of about 20 globally. He writes as a contributor or editor and commentator for many industry and general publications. He acts as a board director or advisor of companies and funds including an airline. Professor Yu is a CFA Charter holder and has a double major B.A. (full honours) and an M.S. from Johns Hopkins University. He also has an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He has a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Nottingham Business School and studied at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management and the National University of Singapore’s School of Business. He is a member of ISTAT and CFA Institute and is a frequently invited speaker at conferences and thought leader.
