Asian Aviation Magazine Editor Matt Driskill is In Conversation with Marie-Louise Philippe, who has been a Senior Sales Director in Asia for Airbus since 2014 located in Hong Kong and Singapore. She is also president of the Women in Aviation chapter in Singapore. As part of her mission she manages and leads sales campaigns to sell Airbus Commercial Aircraft to airlines in Asia. To do so she relies on teams with specialists from Marketing, Contracts, Customer Finance, Customer Support and Programmes. Previously, She was Sales Director in Europe, dealing with airlines in Northern and Central Europe. She successfully won campaigns in Europe and Asia. Philippe started her career in Airbus Procurement where she gained first experience in negotiation and contracting in an international context, managing cross-functional, worldwide teams all across Airbus to obtain the best possible outcome for the company. She is married and has three sons. In her spare time she likes to compete in sports (triathlon) and travels Asia with her family. She is promoting women in the industry. She has served two years on the Board of IAWA, has started BfB in Singapore. Women in Aviation International is a non-profit organisation dedicated to encouragement and advancement of women in aviation and related interests. Its diverse and inclusive membership spans from astronauts to corporate and airline pilots, maintenance technicians, engineers, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, airshow performers, airport managers, and many more.
