Asian Aviation Editor Matt Driskill is In Conversation with Joshua Ng, a director at Alton Aviation based in Singapore. The two discuss airport developments, advanced air mobility (AAM) and what the future holds for aviation in Asia.

Ng brings nearly a decade of experience in the aviation and aerospace industry with significant expertise in business strategy development, market demand forecasting, supply chain management, operational performance improvement, and financial modelling.

Ng advises clients across the aviation value chain – from airlines to MROs to industry investors – all of whom entrust Joshua to provide accurate and insightful analysis when developing and implementing their long term business plans. Prior to joining Alton, Ng began his career at ST Aerospace, a leading aviation MRO solutions provider, where he held positions of increasing responsibility across the MRO and supply chain management disciplines and managed key airline accounts valued at over $100m USD. He later joined the New York-based consulting team of ICF, where he was a key member in the aviation & aerospace practice. Ng earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and his Masters of Engineering in Logistics from MIT.

Matt Driskill is the Editor of Asian Aviation and is based in Cambodia. He has been an Asia-based journalist and content producer since 1990 for outlets including Reuters and the International Herald Tribune/New York Times and is a former president of the Foreign Correspondents Club of Hong Kong. He appears on international broadcast outlets like Al Jazeera, CNA and the BBC and has taught journalism at Hong Kong University and American University of Paris. In 2022 Driskill received the "Outstanding Achievement Award" from the Aerospace Media Awards Asia organisation for his editorials and in 2024 received a "Special Recognition for Editorial Perspectives" award from the same organisation. Driskill has received awards from the Associated Press for Investigative Reporting and Business Writing and in 1989 was named the John J. McCloy Fellow by the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York where he earned his Master's Degree.
