AAPA ASSEMBLY OF PRESIDENTS TO BE HELD IN JEJU, KOREA
The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) will be holding its 62ndAssembly of Presidents in Jeju, Korea on 18 – 19 October 2018. This annual event will be attended by leaders and senior management delegations from the Association’s member airlines, together with guest airline delegates, government officials, regulators and representatives from aircraft & engine manufacturers, IT & MRO service providers, aircraft leasing companies and international media. The event will be hosted by Korean Air and will be held at the KAL Hotel in Jeju.
The Assembly of Presidents provides an opportunity for regional air transport leaders to review current business challenges and address issues that threaten the long-term sustainability of the aviation industry. Topics to be addressed at the Assembly include safety, security, infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, passenger rights, manpower development and cybersecurity.
AAPA Assembly speaks with a common voice on behalf of Asia Pacific air carriers and puts forward Asian perspectives when dealing on industry issues with governments and regulatory agencies, aircraft manufacturers, airport authorities and other organisations. AAPA closely monitors regulatory developments, engages with authorities, assists in filings to government consultations and meets regularly with senior government officials and other relevant stakeholders involved in the development of aviation policies.
