SR Technics Engineering completes major galley overhaul on the Boeing 777

April 3, 2019: SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a galley conversion project for the leasing company AerCap. SR Technics is the only EASA DOA that currently provides this solution.

The Engineering team’s innovative proposal to modify the galleys on five Boeing 777-300ERs convinced AerCap to upgrade to the popular ATLAS standard. After a design and certification process, the first installation was completed at the beginning of 2018 and led to the delivery of all five aircraft by the end the same year.

The service allowed a rapid transition of the leasing firm’s aircraft. Interior upgrades of this sort assure higher lease rates and shorter ground times, which is why AerCap has contracted SR Technics Engineering to complete additional overhauls on the B777-300ER models in 2019.

“This is yet another example of how SR Technics Engineering has developed new products to facilitate lease end transitions and cabin upgrades,” said Jakob Straub, Head of Aircraft Services & Line Maintenance at SR Technics. “Our new partnership with the world’s largest leasing firm can be attributed to truly listening to our customers, combined with assured on-time deliveries.”

Joe Venuto, Chief Technical Officer at AerCap commented, “It was a pleasure to work with the SR Technics Engineering team on the Boeing 777 modification project. The team provided innovative engineering solutions and a product offering that met with both our requirements and that of our customers.”
